Canada’s community foundation movement is renowned for its warmth and hospitality. Our conferences are designed to make everyone feel welcome and to give you a sense of the people and the place you are visiting.

Some of the extra elements you can expect in our program include:

Conference Orientation: A ‘must-attend’ for first time CFC conference goers. Come and learn everything there is to know about navigating our conference.

Community Learning Forums: Think of them as site visits on steroids! Our entire conference community will hit the streets of Vancouver to visit programs and organizations supported by our conference host, Vancouver Foundation. Conference registrants will be asked to select a thematic area of interest and will be matched with a Learning Forum location. Our social media squad will document each visit so they can be shared by all conference participants.

Cultural Events: Vancouver is a cultural mecca, where many traditions meet to create vibrant art, music, drama and dance. Our conference program will showcase the best and brightest that British Columbia has to offer – right in our conference venue, with special performances tucked into the heart of the conference program.

Youth Program: Young philanthropists from countries around the world will join us in Vancouver. Prepare to be amazed at their creativity and passion!

Conference Resources and Exhibitors: A great place to browse in between sessions. Our marketplace will feature books and resources from the conference’s featured speakers, as well as CFC publications, sample materials from community foundations around the world, and much more.
