Youth Program

Our youth program offers two great options for youth involved in philanthropy.

The conference is a fabulous learning opportunity, and includes a special pre-conference Youth Forum day created just for young people who want to fully explore the issues facing our sector today.

Or, young people involved in philanthropy at their community foundation can choose to simply attend the Youth Forum day on May 11, at a cost of just $50.

The special pre-conference day, followed by an evening social, also includes a strategy session focused on how youth can get the most out of the CFC Conference experience.

The youth day schedule will include workshops that are fun, creative and practical including:

  • A Reel Youth Claymation Video workshop: explore CFC 2011 Conference themes through this dynamic media form
  • Creative dialogues: engage in interactive, creative activities around important topics such as fund development, grantmaking and building your youth philanthropy council
  • Youth-led dialogues: Small-group discussions to allow YAC members to share their insights on issues facing YIP, including recruitment, fund development and social media
  • Afterward, enjoy an evening social featuring Scavenged Acts of Youth Philanthropy – an innovative hunt – buffet dinner and networking opportunities.

Meet young people from all across the country. Share ideas. Make friends. Have a great time. And bring new energy and enthusiasm back to your home community.
